2. The Yonaguni Monument, Japan
Near the coast of Yonaguni Island lies what appears to be an underwater city, with massive stone steps and carved terraces. Discovered by a diver in 1986, experts are still debating whether it’s a natural rock formation or the ruins of an ancient civilization that predates known history.
